Quirkiness, quiet and great hospitality.

This place should be the top of everyone’s places to visit. The hosts are simply amazing. I really did pester them with a lot of questions prior to arriving, and each message was replied to in a helpful and thoughtful manner. Jackie was about to meet us on our arrival time, and didn’t mind that we were later than planned. We were shown round, milk in the fridge ready, and hot tub bubbling away. Everything was cleaned to a high standard, bbq lit for us when we needed, and any help needed was given. Our room had everything in I needed to cook a full breakfast, compact and neat. The bed was super comfy with clean sheets. The power shower was better than my own at home! The setting is unbelievably magical. I spent all of this trip smiling!

Fantastic place to stay if you are looking for a relaxing, get away from it all stay. Jackie is a fantastic host – really helpful and attentive to our needs. The room was clean, cosy and warm with everything you need for a comfortable stay. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to explore North Wales.

The most amazing stay from the booking process to checking out! The owners are delightful and so welcoming, including Scarlet. Also the little personal touches were lovely and homely like the birthday banners and hot water bottles! Perfect for getting into bed after a night in the hot tub. Thank you so much, nothing was too much for them! Can’t wait for our next visit!!

Our thoughts and notes, Its easy to find the sat Nav took us straight to the door. We were welcomed and shown around, told where everything was and shown how to use jacuzzi etc. Pint of milk was there for us which is a nice touch because I actually forgot my milk so that was brilliant. Everything you need is in the kitchen.. plates mugs kettle microwave oven etc, also a shower room and toilet. We had our 5 year old boy with us there was a tractor duvet put on the bed for him which he loved. We went to the pub (the stag) 5 min drive for a drink which was nice they do serve food from 5pm which We didn’t have as we were making use of the pizza oven in the barn (which was great ) there is also a bbq and log burner in the barn. There is local shop just opposite the pub with everything you need in. We walked and explored in the evening which our son loved and made use of the jacuzzi and it’s safe to say we had the best nights sleep,waking up to the birds and lambs was just gorgeous. The yurt is cosy with lovely decor and touches like a hot water bottle on the bed. In the morning we went to Abergele (15min lovely drive) for some breakie and we walked around the park then went for a walk on the beach (beach there has all the arcades and cafes etc) which was nice. Overall fantastic stay and we will definitely back.Thankyou very much, Sarah,Jake and Fred xx

Shire’s Rest is an absolutely gorgeous little escape surrounded by outstanding scenery. Jackie is an amazing host, and no request was too much for her. The place was beautifully decorated and incredibly clean. We’re looking forward to a return visit in the near future!

Such a great place to stay. Jacqueline was really helpful with a local recommendation for dinner and the room was so clean and relaxing. Will definitely be back!

Expect a quaint stable conversion with a comfortable bed and a few amenities in to make anything from a toastie to a stew in the slow cooker. The pizza oven was lit for us and we made pizzas from scratch and had the tastiest pizzas we’ve ever had. The hot tub was ready and waiting at 40°C. Overall a great night, with great place and superb host.
