Shire’s Rest is an absolutely fabulous little place! A real hidden gem. The setting is beautiful – it is in the middle of nowhere, very private and secluded, yet still only a 15 minute drive from civilisation. The room itself is lovely, very cosy and extremely romantic, with everything you could need for your time away. The icing on the cake is the private hot tub, relaxing in there and taking in the view of the countryside was bliss. We stayed on a very cold winter night – we will definitely be going back again in the summer! Jacqueline is a great host, very accommodating and attentive.

A lovely little set up, you really feel like you are away from it all. Hosts were both lovely, living areas were very well equipped and felt almost opulent for glamping! Loved the barn and pizza oven.
